I DO hope you will allow me a few lines to thank the very generous people who made our Trowbridge carnival float a huge success.
Due to being a very late entry we had less than 10 hours to build a float to advertise the Soapbox Derby for next year's carnival.
This would not have been possible without the help of the Oval Motor Group, John Millard Signs, Edward Kirk, The Lamlough family, colleagues, friends and a very understanding family.
Our 'modest' float was completed with half an hour to spare, and when the procession had finished it was deemed to have been a 'success'. Again, thank you all for your help.
So, come on you budding race drivers and race car designers who are aged from eight to adult, join us next August/September for the Trowbridge Soapbox Derby!
As 'first time' entrants to the carnival procession, we found it great fun, I can recommend it!
