A SCHOOLGIRL from Trowbridge will see her artwork up in lights after designing a Christmas decoration for the town's festive display.
Maria Lopez, from Parochial School, entered the Trowbridge Town Development Partnership design a light for Christmas competition.
Maria's design will be incorporated into this year's display and she will take part in the switching on ceremony on November 15.
The competition was sponsored by Chicago Rock Caf. Marketing manager Ceri Burrell said: "We were delighted with the response from the schoolchildren. There were many different designs which made choosing a winner very difficult."
The runners-up were: second, Emma Moles, Parochial School; third, Natalie Garrett, St John's Catholic Primary School; highly commended, Jamie Lee Tredrea, Parochial School; and highly commended, Heather Brown, Paxcroft School.
