A FORMER Trowbridge schoolboy has married an actress from the hit TV series London's Burning.
Musician Matthew Giles Hardwidge married Liza Walker at Little Missenden, Bucks, on Saturday.
Matthew went to Roundstone School, Trowbridge, and West Laverton School. Now working in London, he used to live with his parents Terry and Roger in Bratton.
His mum Terry said: "It was a delightful ceremony and I hope they will both have a lovely and amazing life together."
The couple opted for a low-key wedding surrounded by family and friends plus a scattering of showbusiness friends, including actor Sean Pertwee.
The bridegroom's father Roger and son Jackson shared the role of best man.
Following a traditional service, the couple read messages in the sunny churchyard and, in a delightful moment, carefully opened a mysterious silver box from which a variety of butterflies flew in all directions to the flowers and trees surrounding the congregation.
Liza has achieved prominence through performances on UK television, the stage and in many films in addition to her fashion modelling.
Her recent TV roles include Shauna, manic-depressive wife of Station Officer Mick Callaghan, in the current season of London's Burning.
