PARENTS are bound to be worried by the latest figures that show how many paedophiles are living in Wiltshire.
Even more worrying than the nearly 200 people on the sex offenders register is the five who have gone missing. But perhaps the most shocking aspect of the report is the fact that those who committed their crimes before 1997 don't have to register and may not be monitored by the police.
This seems amazing such a crime against a child is surely as serious if it happened 20 years ago as it is if it happened yesterday. It's about time this loophole was closed.
