POLICE officers hunting the man they believe has tried to abduct two Swindon children in a month are stepping up their enquiries with a witness appeal from one of the alleged snatch spots.
Det Sgt Adrian Davis will tomorrow be in the alleyway from Victoria Road to Rolleston Street between noon and 2pm seven days after a man tried to abduct an 11-year-old girl there.
He and his officers will be carrying out enquiries and renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward and help trace the man, who is also believed to have grabbed a five-year-old girl in Groundwell Road on August 7.
On both occasions, the girls managed to escape the man's grasp.
A photo fit of the man has been issued. He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, with a shaven head and blue eyes.
DS Adrian Davies would like to see anyone who thinks they may have information in the alleyway on Sunday. He can be contacted on (01793) 528111.
