FORGOTTEN memories and lost loves were finally revealed when Commonweal School's class of 1960 met up after 40 years.
Classmates of organiser David Rogers, 59, who attended the school in The Mall between 1955 and 1960, met up in the King's Hotel in Old Town.
They swapped anecdotes, memories and even confessions of unrequited love.
During the last year, David has hunted down 25 of his 36 classmates. Chatting with two of them, Elizabeth Tomlinson (nee Oakey), 58, and John LaCroix, 58, David discovered a connection both he and John had been fond of Elizabeth.
"I was in love with Elizabeth while at school," said John. "I used to push her bike up Croft Hill but she never returned my feelings. Besides, she had a boyfriend with a sports car and I couldn't compete with that!"
David also confessed to having a crush on her: "I was secretly in love with her but she never knew it!"
Slightly flustered by all the confessions, Elizabeth said: "I never had a clue, but it's fantastic to see them both again after all these years."
After sharing a reunion lunch at the hotel, the classmates made their way to the school to meet up with other old pupils and teachers.
