CYCLISTS from Stratton St Margaret Church joined thousands around the country taking part in the annual Great Cycle Ride and raising cash for ancient churches.
Dozens of riders set off from the church as part of the nationwide pedal push, splitting money raised between their local church and the Historic Churches Preservation Trust.
The event was launched in 1953 to help repair damage following the Second World War.
The HCPT offers grants for structural and essential repairs which are beyond the local community's means. In an average year the trust assists up to 350 churches, offering grants of up to £7,500.
To donate money, contact the Historic Churches Preservation Trust at: Fulham Palace, London SW6 6EA. Tel: 020 7736 3054.
