A 14-YEAR-OLD girl raped in Swindon is being comforted by her parents at home.
Swindon police has set up an incident room dedicated to handling the investigation. It is believed the attack was committed by a 17-year-old local man.
The man met the girl at about 8pm on Friday in the area of Hilary Close and Crossways Avenue in Pinehurst and suggested they go for a walk. The girl accompanied him and the rape took place at 8.45pm in Crossways Avenue.
A forensic team was in the area yesterday and no arrests have yet been made but police have issued a more detailed description of the suspect.
He is a 17-year-old white man wearing a baseball cap with a curtains style haircut. He had a hooded top with the hood worn over the baseball cap and dark coloured jeans or trousers. Police say the man had a silver bar stud in one of his eyebrows.
Witnesses are asked to call Swindon 528111 and speak to DI Paul Jennings.
