I AM writing in response to the letter in Friday, September 6, Evening Advertiser which complained about the difficulty of getting double strollers into shops.
I too am the mother of twins who are nearly one year old.
I have to disagree I have a twin stroller, a twin pushchair and a huge twin pram, and I can get into all the shops in Swindon apart from The Works and Greggs the cake shop.
I can even get into the lift in H&M in Regent Street with all three of my methods of transport.
I was also looking for bedding in Rosebys at Greenbridge and I could get in there.
It is not the shops that are the problem it is people.
They are so rude when you ask them to move, some just stand there. And when you knock into them you get abuse.
Also buses are a nightmare. There isn't enough low floor ones and as I don't drive I have to rely on public transport if I want to go anywhere.
I have also pushed a wheelchair in Swindon so I have both sides of the story.
