GLOWING orbs of light, cold spots and clairvoyant impressions of ghosts were among the findings of paranormal investigations at the Red Lion in Avebury.
Earlier this month the investigators spent the night at the 18th century coaching inn, which is reputedly haunted by a number of ghosts.
A team from Swindon-based Ghost Seekers joined with members of another group, Phantom Or Fraud, and a number of mediums for the round midnight vigil.
Almost immediately Mike Driscoll of Ghost Seekers said he felt extremely cold and he and colleague Chris Booth managed to track a cold spot around the area for several minutes using their hands.
During dinner, one of the mediums, named Louise, said she had the strong impression of a young boy of ten, dressed in Victorian clothes, who was apparently trapped in the floor above the restaurant. Ghost Seekers is to research the former inhabitants of the inn to see if any child met a sudden death.
Later both Mr Driscoll and Mr Booth said they experienced something touching their heads.
The investigators fared better than TV presenter Yvette Fielding who earlier this year fled screaming from pub ghost Florrie during filming of a cable TV show.
