DIAMOND couple Kathleen and Walter Dodson celebrate 60 years of married life on Monday.
Kathleen, 83, met her 85-year-old husband, a farm worker, through a family friend.
They lived at Brinkworth for 42 years before moving to Wootton Bassett in 1986 where Walter secured a job working as a maintenance man for Wiltshire County Council.
The couple, from Shelley Avenue, will be celebrating on Monday with a family get-together, sharing the day with their family who include four children, eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Their daughter Shirley said her parents were both keen gardeners.
"They are both wonderful parents and dedicated grandparents.
"They reckon that the secret to a long and happy marriage is to have a bit of give and take."
