PLEASE may I correct the amendment made to my letter last week headed "Appeal for horses. "

The last paragraph of my original letter read "I would so like to see the fox adherents" which was changed to "the fox hunting adherents" (the complete opposite).

It was not so much the pro-foxhunting as the anti-foxhunting fraternity I was addressing, as the latter may well not be aware of the unimaginable horrors such as the live transportation of horses and livestock in general for slaughter and the inexcusable cruelty involved, against which foxhunting (probably the best option for culling) pales into insignificance.

I'd better stop there or I shall go on to life-long (except when inspectors are about) tethering of pigs, which was banned some years ago but was still being practised, according to the Gazette and Herald anyway, quite recently.
