Volunteers are needed to help out at the Chippenham British Heart Foundation Shop.
The BHF is launching an appeal in Wiltshire to find more helpers after making a new commitment to its volunteers.
It pledges to provide the necessary support and training needed to open up extra opportunities for volunteers who wish to develop their role within the organisation.
"As well as being worthwhile, volunteering offers people a great opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills," Wiltshire area manager Sally Thornley said.
"Additionally, volunteering is something practical you can do to help fight heart disease the UK's single biggest killer."
The new volunteer recruitment campaign is being supported by TV presenter Gloria Hunniford, whose face will feature on a new poster at the Chippenham shop.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the BHF and they currently contribute about 27,000 hours a week.
Its charity shops raise more than £8 million every year to fund essential heart research, education, life-saving equipment and patient care.
Chippenham's High Street BHF store would welcome volunteers from all walks of life and all ages, from 16 up. call 0870 1204141 further details.
