DETECTIVES believe the net is closing in on an armed robber who held up a Melksham post office in an early morning raid.
A CCTV photo image of a man detectives believe is responsible for the raid on Woodrow Post Office was released this week.
A neighbour living close to the post office in Woodrow Road took the crystal-clear footage, which may prove to be a pivotal piece of information.
Detectives in Trowbridge have been working closely with Greater Manchester Police since the incident on August 19. They believe the robber had a northern accent but may be known by people living in Wiltshire.
Sub-postmaster Robert Coulson and his wife Carol were hailed as heroes for their actions during the 8am raid.
Mr Coulson, 47, was locked in a room for 10 minutes with the robber, who pointed a handgun at his head.
Eye-witnesses have come forward since detectives made an initial appeal for help last month.
