AS an electrical engineer I am very aware of the dangers of direct contact with electricity and particularly the serious burning effects.
The parents and the boy who has suffered from this, in the pub at Bowerhill, have my sympathies.
I share their anger about owners of a public place who do not care enough to avoid basic risk and frustration with the local authority for failing to bring a successful prosecution. As WWDC employ a barrister, this is all the more a waste of our money.
As an enforcing authority, has WWDC made representations to Parliament to have the law improved? As it is, WWDC appears to have failed in its duty of protecting the public.
