A POWERFUL drama about a man who murdered his wife days after their marriage is to be performed at Warminster library.
It was 213 years ago that John Walford was executed for clubbing Jane Shorney to death.
Walford was hanged in Somerset at a place still known as Walford's Gibbet.
Dead Woman's Ditch, a new play by Michael Barry and with music and songs by Marck Pearlstone, will be performed by the Wessex Actors Company on October 8 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £4.50 adults with concessions at £3.50.
