A 12-YEAR-OLD schoolboy was knocked down during the early morning rush hour on a Bradford on Avon road.
Police and paramedics were called to Winsley Road at 8.10am on Thursday when a Peugeot 106 knocked down a St Laurence School pupil, close to the junction with Churches.
Paramedics took the schoolboy to Trowbridge Community Hospital where he was treated for minor leg injuries.
The pupil was walking with a friend across Winsley Road when the car struck him. The second pupil narrowly missed being hit.
Police confirmed that the pupils were not using a nearby pedestrian crossing when the accident happened.
