Swindon's 1st XV will not be seeing action this weekend due to a number of injuries and unavailabilities.
This gives coaches Binfield and Popowicz a good opportunity to assess the up and coming talent in the 2nd XV when they take on local rivals Cirencester 2nd XV at Greenbridge Road.
Newly-converted prop Ian Reynolds will be looking to gain build on good performances to try to push for a 1st XV berth. Also, new boys hooker Rich Millbank and second row Steve Steel will be keen to impress. Milo Hartly tries out at fly half this week.
The 3rd XV are also involved in local derby action taking on Cricklade's 1st XV in what is sure to be a tough encounter.
