Swindon College Old Boys 1st XV travel away in the first round of the cup to face Oldfield Old Boys.

After a stirling league opening fixture against Sherborne last week, the Swindon based side will be confident to produce another match winning effort.

Like Sherborne was for College, the Oldfield outfit is an unknown quantity. Oldfield faced Bassett in a pre-season friendly which Bassett won convincingly based on score-line and College can base their expectations on this result. College field a team without the injured openside Steve Offord, hooker - Steve Packer and unavailable lock, Adam Williams. Paul McCombe replaces Williams for his seasonal debut.

College's captain, O'Brien said: "There has been positive feedback from both the field and the sideline after last week's performance.

"There are a few areas of the game we can improve but Im very impressed with how this young side has gelled together early on in the season. We produced many scoring opportunities and only capitalised on about 70 per cent of them, so there is more tries to come."
