RUGBY fans Linda Fox and Damon Farrell feared they would miss Bath Rugby's first home game of the season after finding out it clashed with their wedding.

But thanks to Virgin Mobile and the club they celebrated their wedding in style after taking over the firm's corporate box for their reception on Saturday.

The party rushed from the noon wedding at Trowbridge register office to Bath in time for the 2pm kick off.

They were in good time to watch Bath's exciting 27-27 draw with Wasps.

Mrs Farrell, a PA at Virgin Mobile, said her employers stepped in after hearing of the couple's plight.

She said: "We had decided to get married but I had not got round to organising anything. Damon phoned me up and said it was sorted and gave me the date.

"When I said, 'Oh!', he asked why and realised. We thought about rushing off afterwards but then we didn't know what to do with the family."

Virgin was not using the corporate box as it had taken a suite for the day.

Friends decorated the box and ensured the couple met some of the Bath players.
