Match of the day in the Wiltshire League could well be at Ballards Ash, where Wootton Bassett United, last year's junior division champions, take on Wroughton Reserves, who have a 100 per cent record from six games.

When the sides met last season honours were even both winning at home 3-0.

Bassett manager Kenny Regan said his side were looking forward to the game and added: "I have got a full squad to choose from and it should be a good game. My lads will be all out to dent Wroughton's unbeaten record.

"We get on really well with the Wroughton lads and have a lot of respect for them, but on the pitch things are different."

Surprise leaders of the junior section Marlborough Town Reserves, who have lost just one game and drawn one from eight starts, could keep their run going at the expence of Purton A.

Early leaders of the division Ferndale Rodbourne, now in fourth spot, are at home to Dunbar Westside Reserves.

Premier Division leaders Stratton Crosslink travel to Melksham Reserves, and the strength of the home side will no doubt depend on the calls from their Screwfix side. However, Crosslink should continue their unbeaten run.

Wroughton are at home to local rivals Purton Reserves at the Weir Field, and victory would move them up to second spot in the table.

Chiseldon Castrol, bottom but one in the table, entertain Devizes Town Reserves, who have lost their last two games. If showing the same spirit they did at Marlborough last weekend, Castrol could well be in with a shout for the points.

In the intermediate section, the top two sides, Dunbar Westside and Sherston, meet each other at Foxhill, Wanborough.
