HE's got the looks, he's got the body, and now Swindon's Mark Eteson is one of five UK finalists in an international male modelling competition even though he hadn't even entered it.

The 19-year-old had gone along to the English finals of Manhunt International, which were held at the Great Western Designer Outlet Village in Rodbourne last week, to support a friend who had entered the contest.

But he was persuaded to pose topless after the professional photographer spotted his potential and insisted he strut his stuff for the camera.

Mark beat off fierce competition from budding male models from all over the country to have a chance to represent the country in the Manhunt International world finals in Beijing.

Mark, who DJ's at the Brunel Rooms and is going to study law at Colchester University, said: "I am just shocked because I hadn't even entered the competition and when I got the phone call the next day I felt I had stolen the fame from my friend and I felt bad. But I am sure he is chuffed for me, at least one of us got through."

Mark, of Wheeler Avenue, Upper Stratton, never had ambitions to become a model but is thinking about getting a portfolio together even if he doesn't become the eventual winner.

Mark has already been whisked off to a photo shoot with the four other finalists in London, pictures of which will appear in the Daily Mirror on October 1.
