The Chippenham branch of Sainsburys has been commended for its efforts in supporting and encouraging its disabled employs.
The branch was shortlisted in the large company category at the sixth annual Leading the Way Awards organised by Remploy, the country's foremost employer of disabled people.
The event was held at the Marriott Hotel in Swindon on with awards being presented by Peter McDonald, the Southwest chairman of the Leonard Cheshire Foun-dation.
Bob Warner, Remploy representative speaking at the awards, said: "Sainsburys were commended for their person centred and needs-led approach to supporting disabled people at work."
A shortlist of 15 nominations were chosen from a total of 40 including large, medium and small firms and public service organisations from every part of the South.
