MORE than 45 jobs could be created in Swindon if developer Golden Tulip UK builds a hotel in the town.
The company, one of the 10 largest hotel chains in the world, sees Swindon as a key site in its UK expansion plan.
It is looking for sites between one and three acres to build a 100 to 150 bedroom hotel, having secured funding of £33m from Graphite Capital.
Tim Wheeldon, property director at Golden Tulip UK, said: "Our aim is to build up to 17 hotels during the next three years and we have identified Swindon as a key area.
"We are keen to acquire freehold or leasehold sites close to both main arterial routes and business centres. Good accessibility to a range of local and regional leisure attractions is also an important factor."
