Minety negotiated the first hurdle of their Vase campaign by thrashing Hungerford 46-0.
In-form winger Simon Barrett scored a hat-trick of tries and there were scores for winger Ian Neal and fullback Luke Huckin, plus a try for the two locks, Dave Keates and Keith Arrell.
Barrett opened the scoring, but his best try came midway through the first half when the pack recycled ball from a ruck on the Hungerford 22. and Barrett set off for a sprint up the touchline, beating two men on his way to the line.
Lock Keates took ball off the back of a maul deep and powered through the remaining defence to score his first try for the first XV, while Neal's try came when he outpaced his pursuers to reach a kick ahead to leave them 26-0 up at half-time.
Arrell bludgeoned his way to the line with no fewer than three opposing players hanging off him after the break, but the final score belonged to fly-half James Tweedale, who finished the game with a beautifully-struck drop goal to add to his four successful conversion kicks.
