A hat-trick from Lee Curtis enabled Wroughton Reserves to keep their 100 per cent record intact against last season's Junior League champions, Wootton Bassett United.
Billed as the match of the day, the first 45 minutes turned out to be a midfield tussle with Curtis breaking the deadlock midway through the half with a good finish.
Ten minutes into the second half, Curtis struck again with a fine individual effort, but shortly after, Nigel Sheppard conceded a penalty to put Bassett back in it, Danny Groom scoring from the spot after the keeper had stopped his initial effort.
Wroughton continued to have the edge and Curtis completed his hat-trick when Bassett keeper and manager Kenny Reagan allowed a harmless-looking shot to go through his legs.
Stratton Crosslink maintained their unbeaten record at the top of the Premier after a 4-1 away win over Melksham Town Reserves.
Crosslink took the lead almost straight from the kickoff, Mark Smith crossing for Rob Broadbank to head into the net.
The rest of the half belonged to Melksham, but the Swindon side struck again five minutes into the second half with a good finish from Steve Shaw.
The home side then pulled a goal back from a free kick taken by Danny Lardner, who chipped the Crosslink keeper from 20 yards.
Sub Jason Edwards scored a third with a good header at the far post, from a cross by Shaw, and in the closing stages good work by Mark Smith enabled Shaw to complete the scoring with a fourth.
Wroughton moved into second spot after beating Purton Reserves 5-1.
Phil Blagdon netted after just five minutes, and a cross-cum-shot by Tom Dingle found its way into the net for a second via a defender.
Purton pulled a goal back from the penalty spot, but back came the home side to go 3-1 up just before the break, through Phillips.
Ten minutes into the second half Phillips struck once again to add a fourth, and Vince Goodenough scored a fifth.
Jamie Gale scored the only goal of the game for Devizes Town Reserves at Chiseldon Castrol, the goal coming in the last five minutes.
Aldbourne moved into the top five with a 4-1 over visitors Corsham Town, Steve Hewitt (2), Mark Barnett and Russell Hunt on target.
Cricklade Town proved too strong for visitors Westbury United, running out 3-1 winners.

Shock result of the day came at Bradford where the home side lost to bottom side Marlborough Town 2-1. Daniel Sly gave the visitors a first half lead, Russell Francis equalising in the second half and Danny Pike emerging as Marlborough's hero.
A hat-trick from Geoff Swatton and a strike from Rich Saunders gave Dunbar Westside a 4-1 victory over Sherston in the Intermediate section, and Darren Jell and Martin Dunn were again on target for Crosslink Reserves in their 2-1 win over Calne Town.
Wanborough United had a good day at the office, the senior side beating Blunsdon 3-2, Paul Parson (2) and Gary O'Donnell the scorers, with Mark Tate and Ian Bell netting for Blunsdon. United's reserve side beat Blunsdon Reserves 2-1, Danny Maslin scoring both goals.
In the Junior section, Bromham scored all three against Sporting HKQ, but finished up losing 2-1. Tom Weston and Tom Pagett scoring at the wrong end, and Richard Dyke at the right end.
Ferndale Rodbourne were trailing 1-0 with 10 minutes to go against Dunbar Westside, but a penalty from Ben Dickens and a last-gasp goal from Robert Griffin gave them the points. Mike Ktenas was on target for Dunbar.
League leaders Marlborough Town Reserves were beaten 3-2 at home by Purton A, despite leading 2-0 at the break, with strikes from Nick Dobson and Steve Dean.
After the interval, Purton's Nick Vincent scored with a cracking 25- yarder, Ben Robinson levelled, and Purton stalwart Robert Preddy scored the winner late on.
West Swindon were a goal in front, scored by Jason Howe, for three-quarters of the game against Aldbourne Reserves, but the visitors drew level from the penalty spot.
