In Division One West, New College are beginning to find their feet and gained their third victory from seven games, beating Middle Barton 4-2.

The visitors started well with a first-minute goal from Kay, but the Academy fought back to take a 3-1 lead at the break, with goals from Pete Mannion (2) and Chris Oke.

After the break Steve Winchcombe added a fourth, and Middle Barton scored their second with a 90th minute penalty, Robey scoring from the spot.

Purton, meanwhile, were not at their best but still managed a 3-1 win over Easington Sports.

The game burst into life on the half-hour, when Michael Silvanus worked his way around the back of the visitors' defence, and pulled the ball back for Richard Watkins to score with a good volley to give Purton a 1-0 lead at the break.

Ten minutes after the restart they added a second following good work by Kenny Hughes and Ben Parsons. Steve Tucker's shot was partially stopped by the visitors' keeper and Watkins, following up, drove the ball into the net.

Silvanus then provided the spadework for Purton's third goal, pulling another good ball back, this time for Ryan Whitefield to fire into the net.

Eight minutes from time Purton gifted the visitors a consolation goal, keeper Luke Alford dropping a back pass at the feet of Robbie Cannoway.

Shrivenham left it late against Cheltenham Saras, scoring the only goal of the game on 89 minutes, with a strike from Herring. It was the home side's second victory of the season, and took them out of the bottom three.

Cirencester United, yet to win a game, were beaten at home by Headington Amateurs by three goals to one, despite going into the lead with a goal from Potter, Murray, Maciak and Tutton netting in the last quarter of the game.
