I ALWAYS assumed pavements were laid down for walking on and not for use as a car park.
Walking up Ferndale Road recenltly I yet again had to navigate around cars parked not only on double yellow lines but so close to front garden walls that anyone with a buggy, pram or shopping trolley would have been forced to walk in the road.
This type of parking is occurring all over this town think of all the money this council could collect if it picked up on this.
The council is always bleating about a lack of money, so why not speculate to accumulate appoint a dozen traffic wardens. Their wages would soon be recouped by the hundreds of fines they could collect each day and it would free up the pavements for their purpose.
People will park this way with no concern for their fellow man whilst the council buries its head in the sand and ignores it.
