THE winning images of a Think Art photographic competition are on display in the Brunel Shopping Centre.

People were invited to take pictures with the theme of shopping for the Westfield Golden Shopping Moments contest.

The winners had their entries blown-up into posters which are forming the exhibition.

Nicola Cole, 39, of Freshbrook, won the first prize of £250, after taking a photo of her three-year-old daughter Abigail.

She said: "I can't believe I've won. It was a chance thing. Abigail looked so sweet trying to reach up to pay at the desk, so I just took the shot."

Rosa Matheson, director of Swindon Arts, said: "We are delighted with the outcomes of this project.

"It is a natural extension of the Think Art Festival. It is great when companies show such committed support of local artists and events in ways such as this."

Helen Owens, customer relations and brand manager for Westfield Shopping towns, owners of the Brunel Centre said: "We are happy to work with Swindon Arts and support work of such high quality and professional presentation, particularly when it is drawn from the local community. It adds extra interest to the shopping experiences of our customers."

The other winners were Ray Gigg, Tony Powell, Roger Ogle, Martin Warnes, Mel Gigg, Catherine Holt, Tom Dickinson.

The posters will be displayed on the first floor of The Plaza above Marks & Spencer until Friday.
