And following on from the above comes the special needs of a number of children in the borough.
Compared to the main education budget it is not a great deal of money, but it is vital that these children are not denied the chance to do well in life.
The borough council has its work cut out to succeed in this case and there are many anxious parents looking over its shoulder to make sure it does.
