CIRENCESTER Town suffered another heavy defeat, losing 4-1 at Evesham.
Brian Hughes has now watched his side concede 14 goals in just three games and the alarm bells must be ringing as Ciren slip towards the drop zone.
Strangely enough, the Centurians had the chances to take something from last night's clash.
They trailed 2-1 at half-time despite Adam Mayo's strike, but dominated the opening 20 minutes of the second period.
James Hughes and Mayo both should have equalised as Ciren squandered a succession of chances before Evesham scored a freak third when a cross sailed into Ciren's net.
The home side added a late fourth which frankly flattered them, but Hughes will have to patch up that leaky defence to prevent a relegation battle.
