Biblical themes have provided inspiration for Chippenham artist Alexandra Walker.
Ms Walker, a former pupil at the town's Hardenhuish School, studied an art foundation course in Swindon before completing an honours degree in fine art in London.
Now she is holding her first Chippenham exhibition, which opens on Sunday at her new studio, at Phoenix House, in Palmer Street. It will run at the Set ApArt Studios until October 5. Details can be found at www.alexandrawalker.com.
Ms Walker, who is also training to be a local preacher in the Methodist church and is a member of the Chippenham circuit, says her work is inspired by her studies. She creates vibrant pictures of biblical themes.
She has exhibited in London and Bath and said she was looking forward to showing her work in her home town.
