Salisbury City 3 Dartford 0
Football: SALISBURY City turned in their most convincing performance of the season so far to brush aside lowly Dartford on Saturday.
Their 3-0 win provided the clearest indication yet that manager Nick Holmes is more than capable of reviving the fortunes of the Old Sarum outfit.
Of course, it helped Holmes' cause no end that the lynchpin of the City defence in recent years, Roger Emms, was back in the starting line-up for the first time since the opening day of the campaign.
While the towering central defender may still not be 100-per cent fit following his five week lay-off through injury, his presence was a key factor in what was a confident display in front of an appreciative crowd of 433 - the highest of the day in the Eastern Division.
Emms' 76th minute goal - his 50th for the club - was the icing on the cake, doubling the lead they had held since the seventh minute.
