North Wiltshire District Council is celebrating its continued success in achieving the Investors in People standard.

The award is usually made every three years but the council is keen to maintain standards and voluntarily applies for the assessment every year.

The Investors in People award recognises the efforts made to develop, enhance and improve employees, in order to provide better services.

Officers and councillors were interviewed to evaluate progress and the assessor reported that despite recent upheaval for staff, the council had strengthened its commitment to and achievement of performance information.

The assessor said: "There as considerable evidence of more opportunities for people to take on higher level skills and grow in job roles."
