CARPENTER Ben Kent is trying to locate his push-along red bull carnival entry, which disappeared following the Pewsey procession on Saturday.

Father-of-three Mr Kent, 44, from George Lane in Marlborough said: "The last thing I heard was that it was seen heading in the direction of Swan Meadow with three young lads pushing it."

Mr Kent has been taking part in the walking section of the carnival in Pewsey for the past 27 years.

His tableaux are always irreverent or risqu, not least his latest effort the 5ft high, 7ft-long red bull made out of a plastic barrel, polystyrene and wire which proclaimed "Well Hung British Beef."

It took him a couple of weeks, to make, helped by his wife Sue.

Its body was covered in a red furry fabric and its legs were white and blue, completing the patriotic colour scheme.

After the carnival procession ended Mr Kent went for a drink with friends, leaving the bull in the Market Place.

But when he returned to collect it at about 11.30pm he found it had disappeared.

He wants the bull back so that he can re-use some of the parts in future years.

Anyone who knows where it is is asked to contact Mr Kent in the evenings on (01672) 513762.
