Wiltshire cattle are to be making a welcome return to the Bath and West Dairy Show this year.
Last year's show had to go ahead without any livestockbecause of the foot and mouth crisis, but this year the cattle are back and raring to go.
The show has already had 220 entries, and more than 200 trade stands are booked for the UK's largest dairy event, to take place on Wednesday.
The show gives farmers the ideal opportunity to keep up-to-date with innovations in the industry, as well as the latest equipment and advice.
Young farmers are being encouraged to show off their cattle with the return of the Young Farmers Calf Show and the new Holstein South West Young Breeders Calf Show classes.
Other events include the Cattle Presentation, the Supreme Cattle Championship, presentation of the South West Dairy Farm Business of the Year Award, and a full programme of seminars.
The show is preceded by a dinner, which will feature the presentation of the Dairy Industry Award.
The Bath and West Dairy Show will be held at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, on Wednesday from 9.30am to 5pm.
Tickets are £5 or £2 for students and can be bought on the gate or via the credit card hotline on (01749) 822 222. The closing date for cattle entries is tomorrow.
