CARRIERS Arms staged a superb comeback in the first round of the KO Cup against holders Greyhound.

Trailing 3-0 at half time they looked dead and buried, but fought back to 3-3 at full time and went on to win 5-3 after extra time.

On target for the Arms were Mark Peters (2) James Garbutt, Matt Jackson and Mark Stevens. Two goals from Stuart Hodgson and one from Justin Miller had earlier put Greyhound in the driving seat. Carriers also missed a penalty in the incident-packed match.

Other matches in the cup saw Fox and Hounds of Division Three scrape through 5-4 after extra-time against Highworth Swindon Fencing from the division below them.

Goals from Danny Bourne (2), Christian Bridgman, Christian Bailey and an own goal gave Fox the edge.

Suffolk Arms from Division Four upset Wanborough from Division Three with a 3-1 away win. Chris Rusling hit the net for the home side.

In Division One New Century WMC registered their first win of the season with a 6-2 victory at AFC Gas.

Eddie Gordon, Matt Saye, Ryan Lovegrove, Sean Terry and two from Steve Shaw were on target for Century with Alan Blake and Mark Bennett replying for Gas.

Juventus won 6-2 at home to Rodbourne Cheney WMC with the Mazzotta brothers, Enzo and Ricky, both grabbing a hat-trick.

Paul Parsons knocked in a penalty as Moonrakers were held to a 1-1 home draw against Wroughton WMC.

Two teams in Division Two playing their first league game of the season faced each other with Alanbrooke running out 6-1 winners over Innogy Holdings with two goals for Martin Dunn one each for Rob Etherington, Chris Esjmont and an own goal.

SKS Blyskawica continued their solid start to the season with a 9-1 victory at Dynamo Ashton thanks to a superb six-goal strike from Chris Kyle and further goals from Dave Jones, Colin Nutley and Miec Wodjewodka. Ashley Harris got the consolation for Dynamo. First points of the season for Pewsey Saints who won 4-0 at Highworth Plough.

Two goals each for Carl Dawson and Reg Prentice and one for Dan Shepherd gave Mallard in Division Three their first victory of the new season when they defeated visiting Penhill United 5-2 for whom D Smart and S Dixon scored.

A Kevin Traill goal could not stop High St Club going down to a 2-1 home defeat against early pacesetters South Marston. Nationwide won 5-0 at a depleted Haydon Wick WMC and Coleshill had to thank Adam Bradley, Mike Juggins and James Domm for their closely fought 3-3 home draw with Compton Welding.

In Division Four a single strike from Gary Baker was all Campbell James had to show for in their 7-1 home drubbing by Motorola Ecid.

Good away wins for Windmill and County Ground at KMLC and Red Lion respectively. Gary Seward, Mike Phelps, Jon Cleverly and Ross Kelly scored for Windmill in their 4-2 win. KMLC scorers were Nick Trouchon and Simon Pugh. Each side also had a player sent off.

County Ground stormed to a 10-2 victory at Red Lion, with goals from Phil Corcoran (3), Kevin Coles (2), Paul Manning (2), Pat Slattery, Colin Baker and Mark Smith. Rob Staynings got both Lions' goals.

Steve Matthews (2), John Hacker, Clive Taylor and Jon Davis were on the scoresheet in Auto Colour's 5-3 home win over Southbrook Inn.

In Division 5 there was a first defeat for Nationwide Life, who went down 4-1 at home to Sporting Sunnys. Steve Legg scored for the home team.

Sun Inn Coate made it 14 goals in two games as they beat Wincanton 7-1. On target this week were Daniel Doole, Des Flannelly, Aaron Dickinson and two each for Mark Botting and James Whitmore with a consolation goal for Wincanton's Andy Bell.

Queensfield won 7-4 at ISSC with goals from Neil Robinson (2), Pete Smith, Matthew Medlam, Robin Crease, Tom Bartlett and Simon Titcombe. ISSC scorers were Ashley Oxborough and Jason Lyne.

The Bear Hotel and Jovial Monk shared six goals, W. Presley (2) and R. Jackson scoring for the Bear and Lee Howell (2) and John Goodenough replying.

Castrol GTX in Division Six hit Philip Andrews Estate Agents for 10 without reply. Joe Matano, Jonathan Goddard, Jason King, Wayne Thompson (4) and a hat trick for Paul Stoddart were the scorers.

G and F Bricklaying won 2-1 at Faringdon Road Grapes for whom Colin Talbot scored.

Halcrow and Swindon Cerney shared eight goals with Steve Elliott, Chris Bamford, Chris Hughes and Michael Austin scoring for Cerney.

Dolphin beat Kingsdown United 5-1 and it was the first win of the season for H & H Athletic thanks to a double strike from Ben Dalton and a hat trick from James Taylor. Another Taylor (Matt) hit the target for Ladsio in their 1-1 home draw with Penetrators.

In Division Seven WS One proved too strong for Dennis Removals, winning 8-1. A hat trick from Terry Griffin and further hits from Rob Griffin, Ben Dickens, Stuart Marriott and Andy Marriot secured the win. Paul White replied.

Another win for Deers Leap against Fairford Sunday. Johnny Cole (2), Gary Knight (2) and Carl Spencer were among the scorers for the Leap.

AFC Southside and MCS shared the points and six goals. Scorers were Paul Bergman with two and Lee Hobbs for Southside and Tony Brown(2) and Matthew Sadler for MCS.

Duckhams Q gained their first victory, winning 2-1 against Longs Bar thanks to Johnny Caveyland and Stewart Carter. Another team registering their first win was Intermach by defeating Swindon City 5-3, with goals from Mark Hillcoate (2), Jamie O'Dwyer (2) and Paul Crowie.
