Wiltshire police are offering young people the chance to be detectives for the day.
To promote Crimestoppers Week the police have devised a ten-point quiz, for youngsters aged between seven and 16, which tests observation skills, knowledge of policing and the local police services and where to go for information.
The quiz winners will get their own detecting kit, plus a chance to go behind the scenes with the police and even have a go at solving crimes themselves.
Chief Supt Gary Chatfield, the head of CID and the director of intelligence, Supt Paul Howlett, will be choosing the winners from each section and inviting them to try out their powers of detection on some real cases.
The quiz can be found on the police website at www.wiltshire.police.uk, and entries must be in by September 27.
