Devizes Lions Club has donated 120 "comfort teddies" to Devizes ambulances.
The teddies were donated in memory of Ena Yard, late wife of John Yard, a long-time supporter of the Lions.
A collection was taken at her funeral and the proceeds were split between the ambulance fund and buying equipment for Rowdford School, where Mrs Yard had been a governor.
The teddy bears were donated to the ambulance team to comfort ill or injured children.
One will be given away as a comfort to every child who has to travel in one of Devizes' three ambulances.
The 120 teddies should be enough to last the ambulances for a year.
Club president David Dolman said: "We had donated some comfort teddies to the ambulance last year and were told that they had gone down really well with the children, so we thought it would be nice to do it again. We consulted John and he thought it would be an apt memorial for Ena."
The Lions are planning two further events to raise funds.
One is a sponsored walk on October 27 and the other is a trolley dash, which is due to take place between October 10 and 12 at Safeway in Devizes.
