MARLBOROUGH police have warned caravan owners to take additional security measures to protect their vehicles after a raid in the area.
On Friday three men were seen at Baydon Hill Farm attempting to make off with a Luna Delta caravan.
They pulled up at 3.50pm in a dark blue Rover, registration number L805 UBD, cut off the tow hitch of the caravan, turned it around and attempted to attach it to the car.
They were disturbed and drove off but police say the car has been seen in the area before. Another caravan was stolen from the area the week before.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the Rover to call (01672) 512311 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
They are also looking for witnesses to an assault that took place last Thursday at about 11.30pm outside the Royal Oak in Marlborough High Street. One man suffered a fractured elbow during a scuffle involving four people. One person has been arrested.
Information is also sought about vandals who threw a brick through the windscreen of a Peugeot 406 coupe in Five Stiles Road at about 11pm on September 17.
Police are also investigating the theft of a generator, trolley and trailer stolen from a business yard in Ramsbury between 4pm on Sunday and 9.30am on Monday.
