A taste of the celebrity lifestyle was one of the highlights of a day trip to London for five disabled teenagers.
The event was organised by a 35-strong team from the chief executive's office at Zurich Financial Services, who had spent three months raising funds for the event as part of the company's Charity Challenge 2002.
They invited Andy Milne, Luke Cook, Charlotte Hall, Darren Ewen and Natalie Kimber from Pathfinders a Swindon-based extreme sports group for disabled youngsters on the action-packed day out.
It started at 7.30am, when the Pathfinders, their carers and five Zurich staff members set off from Wanborough in their limousines.
Their first stop was the London Eye, where they savoured the view 200ft above the Thames. They lunched at a top Italian restaurant, before travelling in style across London for a tour of Buckingham Palace. Then they cracked open a bottle of champagne for the journey home.
Charlotte, 18, said: "I enjoyed driving through London. Everyone thought we were famous and they were crowding around the car."
