A new caf bar called Fizz, which has opened in Chippenham, hopes to give the town a brand new experience.
The former Riverside bar has been renovated and a second floor has been put in, doubling its capacity to 250.
The Riverside bar had a reputation for troublemakers but Fizz's manager Kes Larkin, is confident this will not return to the site.
He said: "We have worked closely with police to stamp out crime here and have very good security including CCTV cameras."
Fizz will run as a caf during the day and a vodka cocktail bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
"We have a great menu during the day for eating in and takeaway food. We also have a variety of coffees," said Mr Larkin.
"We open at 9.30am and serve a full breakfast including a vegetarian option."
The bar will be open until 11pm but the owners are applying for a 2am licence.
"We should get a late entertainment licence within four weeks. Then we will have different themed nights and will ask people what they want and vary it each week."
The bar will have a dance floor and regular DJs.
Fizz is owned by three local businessmen Les Weir, David Poole and Peter Jones, former owner of the Rose & Crown public house.
