ANDY KING is facing midfield misery ahead of the trip to Luton Town tomorrow.

Steve Robinson, Matt Hewlett and Stefani Miglioranzi are all rated as very doubtful for the Hatters clash.

Despite no midweek first team or reserve fixture this week, it has not prevented the manager's already thin squad being stretched to breaking point.

King said: "It is a real worry, there's no disguising that.

"You certainly don't want to be without three of your first choice midfielders."

While Miglioranzi is struggling to shake off a knee injury, Hewlett has complained of soreness and Robinson is experiencing pain just above the ankle.

If all three were to miss the trip to Kenilworth Road, it would leave King with a large hole and few options to fill it.

He said: "I have a relatively small squad with little depth and the latest embargo means I cannot move freely in the transfer market."

However, there is better news on the Jimmy Davis front.

The Manchester United youngster is continuing to make good process and a return for the home game with Oldham Athletic has not been ruled out.

The 20-year-old has not played since an accidental collision with Eric Sabin during the Worthington Cup defeat by Wycombe Wanderers.

He said: "Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back. Being injured is really frustrating."

Season ticket holders have until October 4 to purchase their tickets for the Bristol City clash at Ashton Gate. Remaining tickets will go on general sale 24 hours later. Further details on 01793 333777.
