Mark Riddle has been appointed sales consultant at a Trowbridge internet company.

Mr Riddle, 21, from Trowbridge, has joined JPCInfoNet's growing team at its St George's Works premises in the town.

Darren Earney, who has been with JPC for two years, has been promoted to head the sales department.

The firm moved from Wicker Hill six months ago and since then has expanded its staff to almost double, including those previously employed by Centrick, the website and ancillary services business bought by JPC last month.

Peter Wordley, JPC's managing director (operations), says the company's growth in the past two years has been partly due to the firm's down-to-earth approach and its focus on building a business that can satisfy a broad range of customers.

"We have staff with exceptional skills but we appreciate that some customers aren't interested in technical details, they just want a website that will work for them, while others need to know we can provide a top quality IT solutions service with all the bells and whistles.

"It's our ability to adapt to the needs of the small business as well as the corporate giant that has led to our success," said Mr Wordley.

"The purchase of Centrick, which principally dealt with small and medium size businesses, strengthens our approach at that end of the market, and is especially beneficial for customers who want to test the water with a low-cost website," he said.

The acquisition is the second for JPC in the past ten months. In October last year, the firm bought ePortals, of Bath.

JPC has also played a part in the Royal United Hospital Forever Friends Appeal by helping to build new websites.
