Having read Andrew Hungerford's letter criticising Trowbridge mayor, Andrew Bryant, for his comments about the cinema, I must say that Mr Hungerford must be the most negative person in Trowbridge and either ought to stand for election to the council, move to Utopia, or just get a life.
Councillors at the town council and the district council, as well as the current (and previous chief executive) have spent countless hours writing letters, speaking to developers and potential cinema operators, using all available means at their disposal.
Cllr Bryant was therefore 100 per cent correct in his letter and Mr Hungerford, instead of constant carping, should publicly apologise to the mayor for his ramblings and either put up or shut up. No more meetings that he proposes will achieve the cinema.
However, money talks and if he happens to have a spare million or two, he could be publicly spirited and give it to the people of Trowbridge to build the Andrew Hungerford Cinema.
