Parents, pupils and helpers have been hard at work transforming the wildlife area of their school into an attractive garden.
The plot at Princecroft Primary School, Warminster, had become overgrown with 7ft weeds, but now a pond has been dug, paving laid and a bark chipped recreation area created.
The scheme was the inspiration of parent governors Sandra Doughty and Sharon Ballard.
Sandra said: "The headteacher happened to mention that she wanted it tidied up and everything developed from there."
"There was already a plastic-bottomed pond but it had been vandalised and covered up. Now we have one with a concrete base and the flowers and bushes should grow up over time."
Sandra said they had been lucky with the donations they received from timber firms, DIY stores, garden centres and the Parent Teachers Association.
Gifts enabled them to keep the cost down to only £100.
Sandra thanked landscape gardener Daniel Robbins, who made a huge contribution.
Lots of local children, as well as pupils, also helped.
