Fans of Cirencester Town have witnessed a feast of goal fests of late.

Unfortunately the vast majority have been hitting the back of Ciren's net.

Brian Hughes' side have developed an alarming habit of conceding at least four goals a game.

Naturally that statistic doesn't bode well for the Centurians' chances of picking up points, and Hughes' leaky line-up have duly slipped into the Western Division's lower reaches.

Fellow strugglers Rugby visit the Corinium Stadium tomorrow, and despite Ciren's defensive problems, Hughes isn't panicking.

In a 4-1 defeat at Evesham on Tuesday, the Ciren boss saw enough to give him hope.

"People look at the score and think we've been hammered, but we were excellent the Evesham manager said we were the best side they've played.

"The goals against column doesn't lie, but we are getting punished for everything at the moment. We're dominating games but we've had no luck at all.

"I've just told the lads to keep their chins up and hopefully the luck will change starting tomorrow."

With no injuries and suspensions to worry about, Hughes should keep faith in the side that went down fighting in midweek.

Likely Ciren line-up: Glassup, Radcliffe, S Hopkins, Dale, Fraser, Knight, Hughes, Mayo, McCabe, G Hopkins, Gee

Swindon Supermarine are without a game as scheduled opponents Atherstone are in FA Cup action at Ilkeston.

The rest comes as a blessing to John Murphy's side who boast a lengthy injury list.

Lea James, Leigh White, Gary Smart and Liam Bull will be among those benefiting from the break.

Meanwhile former Gloucester City player-boss Tommy Callinan has been training with Marine after leaving Cinderford.

The renowned midfield hard man is not committing himself to Hunts Copse though and is considering a number of offers from local clubs.
