Corsham Town will be looking for their first Screwfix League win of the season at Wellington tomorrow, but the game is a sub-plot to the ongoing managerial saga.
The vacancy left by Mark Godley a fortnight ago has yet to be filled.
Chippenham assistant Nobby Bush has spurned advances by the Corsham board, and current caretakers Dave King and Jon Freegard have also denied any interest in the post.
The committee are now concentrating on one as yet unnamed party, who they hope to appoint within the next few days.
Meanwhile King and Freegard have the trip to Wellington to plot, and their hopes of maximum points have been bolstered by the return of Dave Kilmurray, Chris Jones, Jon Scott, Rob Humphreys and Matt Pratley.
Elsewhere in the First Division, Calne's form is as good as it's been in the last two seasons.
The arrival of Glenn Armstrong has inspired a three-match unbeaten run, and his goals could fire the Bremhill View boys to a home win against Street.
In the top flight, Devizes Town face a big test against pace-setters Brislington in the game of the day.
The Bristol side have won each of their six games to establish a six-point Premier Division lead.
Devizes are also unbeaten, but have drawn all but one of their games.
Robbie Lardner's Melksham Town can leapfrog third-placed Bridgwater when the sides meet at The Conigre.
