CHILDREN at two Far-ingdon schools are smiling after receiving donations worth £1,000 from two engineering firms.
Faringdon Infant and Junior Schools were given £500 each by Murphy Pipelines and Thames Water Engineer-ing. They were nominated by Murphy for the donations, contributed to by Thames Water Engin-eering as part of its health and safety award scheme.
Murphy's site at Faringdon was selected by Thames Water as its top site for health and safety after assessment by independent auditors.
Faringdon Infant School headteacher Maggie Smith said: "We are delighted to receive this donation which will go towards a new outdoor climbing frame."
The junior school is planning to put the money towards books for a new library.
