FROM the handyman to the headteacher, the staff at Gorse Hill Infant School have received a big pat on the back.
It has been again been awarded the Investors in People award with flying colours.
The school first picked up the award in 2000 and when inspectors returned to see if it should be renewed, they were impressed by what they saw.
The assessor told headteacher, Prisca Da Cunha, standards had not just been maintained but greatly improved.
To earn the Investors in People Award organisations must demonstrate a commitment to training and improving staff.
Everyone at the school was interviewed, from the children to the dinner supervisors.
Mrs Da Cunha said: "It was wonderful because we were told it was a really committed team that works really well together. We should make sure that communication is good right across the school, so if something is wrong everyone knows who they can speak to about it.
"I do not have a problem with being told something is wrong because if I don't know there is nothing I can do to change it."
